We provide support and equip industries to deal with increasing threats of climate change related disasters and to address climate change through innovative ideas to reduce carbon foot print through improving energy efficiency.
In the times of climate change, increasing natural hazards can impact industrial facilities by damaging critical infrastructures resulting in both economic and human losses. Effective disaster management can go a long way in preparedness for and mitigation of the impacts of natural catastrophes, thereby increasing industrial safety.
We have initiated a flood vulnerability mapping of industries in the State of Kerala to reduce risk with respect to climate and weather-related events towards strengthening climate resilience of industries, through integrated and inclusive measures.
The Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030 stresses the need for factoring in exposure, vulnerability and hazard characteristics of disaster risks in all policies and practices.
